ASFNR20 Annual Meeting Update

First off, we would like to acknowledge the hardships many of our friends and families are going through with the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a small community so please reach out to one another to check in.

We are monitoring closely the COVID-19 situation and preparing contingency plans. At the same time, we remain hopeful that we will all be able to travel again to meet together at the 2020 ASFNR Meeting scheduled for October 8-11 in Santa Fe.  The organizing committee and I are hard at work putting together an exciting scientific and social program that you won’t want to miss. In what may seem like an eternity from now, look forward to spending 3 days with your colleagues in the high desert of New Mexico learning about the cutting-edge of advanced neuroimaging!

If you would like to get involved, submit a mini-symposium proposal (https://www.asfnr.org/member-initiated-symposium, deadline 3/31) on a topic you are interested in.  The abstract site will be up soon with a submission deadline of July 17 – please submit your most exciting work to share with your colleagues!  New this year will be a trainee award in honor of Dr. John Ulmer for the best submitted abstract which will cover registration, airfare, and hotel expenses for the meeting in addition to a cash award. We will also welcome our second class of fellows of the ASFNR!  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at gregz@stanford.edu.
