Letter from the President
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join us for the 17th annual meeting of the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR), which will take place from August 24-26 in stunning Snowmass, CO.
As the "youngest" among the subspecialty societies of the ASNR, ASFNR takes pride in being a hub of innovation in neuroradiology. This year, our meeting theme is "Emerging trends in Advanced Neuroimaging," reflecting our commitment to staying at the forefront of the field.
We've come a long way from the days when functional MRI was synonymous with task-based BOLD imaging, and at this meeting we aim to share innovations that have shaped our discipline. While our 2024 program will still cover fundamental topics that are a staple in the field of fMRI, this year we’ll also explore a number of exciting new topics such as focused ultrasound, brain-computer interface, and more. In addition to new technologies, you will learn about the latest software developments.

A new case-based imaging session, which will provide attendees with the opportunity to test and sharpen their skills

A lively debate-style Point-Counterpoint session covering controversial topics in neuroradiology

A Tabletop breakout session designed to encourage in-depth discussions on the talks you’ve just heard
We have an incredible keynote speaker lined up for this year (more details to come!). We've also built in several opportunities for attendees and sponsors to network, socialize, and build lasting relationships with each other – from our Opening Reception (which will take place in the beautiful outdoor tent at the Snowmass resort) to our Member-In-Training get-together, JEDI panel, and more.
In your downtime, take some time to explore the beauty of Aspen. Whether you prefer a challenging hike on the Maroon Bells (remember to make reservations), a relaxing day at the hotel spa, a leisurely stroll through downtown Snowmass, or have your sights set on sampling some local brews, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
