Functional Neuroradiology

Who we are
The American Society of Functional Neuroradiology is a specialty society of the ASNR that encourages the introduction of functional neuroradiology into clinical practices, develops standards for the practice of functional neuroradiology, supports fMRI research, and provides a tight-knit community for practicing physicians/scientists in this new and evolving field.
Our society’s mission
ASFNR is committed to advancing the clinical integration and understanding of functional imaging in neuroradiology. Our mission is to foster collaboration across related disciplines and serve as a resource hub for physicians/trainees - increasing their knowledge of fMRI techniques through virtual webinars, educational courses, and the annual ASFNR meeting.
What we do
As a society, the ASFNR’s goal is to highlight and educate the healthcare community about innovations within functional imaging and other emerging neuroradiology techniques, such as: Diffusion Imaging, Perfusion Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Magnetoencephalography, PET, Molecular and Metabolic Imaging, and Machine Learning.
Key Areas of Focus
Explore functional neuroradiology lectures.
We have hundreds of hours worth of Functional Neuroradiology lectures available to view, with courses tailored around specific topics of interest like: fMRI, perfusion imaging, AI, transcranial focused ultrasound, tumor imaging, neurodegeneration, neuro-oncology, high resolution anatomy, and more.
* Free to ASFNR members!
Apply for functional neuroradiology awards.
The ASFNR is proud to offer several awards for qualified trainees, medical students, early career neuroradiologists, and minority radiologists.

Join us for the ASFNR annual meeting.
