The ASFNR’s 16th Annual Meeting is the premier national event for advanced neuroimaging and will be held in Boston, MA from October 6th-9th, 2023. There will be over 100 invited lecturers and moderators who are leaders in the field as well as in their practice settings. The 2022 meeting in Maui, HI drew over 300 registrants. The wide range of radiologists represented at the meeting includes specialists in adult and pediatric neuroradiology, a substantial number of general radiologists, as well as neurologists, neurosurgeons, physicists, neuropsychiatrists and psychologists, cognitive neuroscientists, biomedical engineers, clinical and research fellows, residents, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and radiology technologists.

The 16th Annual Meeting will include sessions addressing:

  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in personalized medicine image quality and its application to diagnostic image interpretation

  • Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) that is being used clinically to modulate brain function and drive the brain connectivity.

  • Emerging imaging technologies such as PET/MRI, high-field (>3T) imaging, and MEG

  • Perfusion imaging including DSC, DCE, and ASL for stroke and brain tumor imaging

  • Updates on BOLD and resting state MRI including for a wide range of clinical applications

  • New insights into neurodegeneration including the glymphatic system, cerebrovascular reactivity, and novel molecular mechanisms

  • Adding value in neuroimaging, to include advances in rapid MR acquisition

  • Advanced neuroimaging for head and neck pathology

We encourage our industry partners to attend our welcome reception on Friday, where you can meet and forge relationships with our ExCom, faculty, and other ASFNR members. The 2023 meeting will provide ample opportunities for networking through social events, sponsored workshops, Lunch & Learns, and more.
