While we all recognize the centrality of academic research to pushing the boundaries of neuroradiology forward, there is only so much one can accomplish within the ivory tower. Partnerships with industry and companies are vital to translate research to the clinical arena, and especially to disseminate widely new technology so that it can benefit the largest possible number of patients. Is your research idea ready for commercialization?  Do you want to start a company? The goal of this session is to learn more about what it takes to commercialize healthcare advances and learn more about the role of early venture funding in this process.  We expect it to be quite interactive, including audience participation.  Who knows?  Maybe next year you will be trading in your all-night R01 writing sessions for the carefree life of a start-up CEO!

 

Please apply for this special opportunity at the ASFNR 2021 Annual Meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico from September 18-21, 2021.  We are looking for individuals or small teams (up to 3) who would like to pitch their idea that will change healthcare for the better to an all-star panel of early-stage venture capitalists who will join us for the meeting.  The format will be interactive with 5 minutes to describe your groundbreaking idea and why it should be funded, followed by a 5 min question and answer session from our VC judges.

If your PITCH IDEA is accepted you will be offered the chance to practice your pitch with ASFNR members and present in front of our VC panel and the conference attendees at ASFNR 2021 in Santa Fe.
